About mrtux.org

mrtux.org is the personal blog of Colin Murphy, a programmer from Iowa. This site was created as a means of keeping track of things I’ve discovered over the past few years. Topics include gnu/linux, wearable technology, web development, and electronics. Here you can also find links to my numerous projects I've made over the years, such as Commander for Pebble and my Hugo themes.

Unlike most blog sites, mrtux.org uses a static site generator called Hugo. Using a static site generator instead of a more traditional CMS allows me to focus on my actual work, instead of maintaining an insecure CMS. As this site is just static files, it can also be hosted anywhere, on nearly anything.
